Mouth cancer and Symptoms


Mouth cancer refers to cancer that develops in any of the parts that make up the mouth. Mouth cancer can occur on the:
  • Lips
  • Gums
  • Tongue
  • Inside lining of the cheeks
  • Roof of the mouth
  • Floor of the mouth

Symptoms

Signs and symptoms of mouth cancer may include:
  1. A sore that doesn't heal
  2. A lump or thickening of the skin or lining of your mouth
  3. A white or reddish patch on the inside of your mouth
  4. Loose teeth
  5. Poorly fitting dentures
  6. Tongue pain
  7. Jaw pain or stiffness
  8. Difficult or painful chewing
  9. Difficult or painful swallowing
  10. Sore throat
  • Feeling that something is caught in your throat
